Beyond the opposite sex
Emily was tapped by Showtime to direct "Beyond The Opposite Sex", a feature documentary that follows two transgender people living in Trump's rural America. It is a follow-up to the 2012 documentaries “The Opposite Sex: Rene’s Story” and “The Opposite Sex: Jamie’s Story” directed by Josh Aronson. The film was captured on location in Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan, Indiana, Texas and Florida. It was shot by Wolfgang Held and edited by Ken Schneider. It premiered on Showtime in 2018 .
